I wish that I would someday seea rabbit lovely as a treewith fur of green and feet of brownand roots held firmly in the ground.
Her twitchy whiskers and soft fleecewould whisper softly in the breeze. And where this leafy rabbit strayedthere'd be abundance of cool shade.
From floppy ears to solid rootfrom lucky feet to juicy fruit, this animal or vegetablelegend, 'tis inevitable,
would from far draw crowds to seeher photosynthetic herbivory, her supple pelt, her hardy bark, her boughs which nest the crow and lark.
And if you did disturb her slumberLonging for a little lumberEre you could deliver a chop,Off this petite hare would hop.
